Climate change affects animals because it forces those animals that migrate later in the year to migrate earlier than expected to different areas if the the climate changes unexpectedly. Some animals that hibernate may not be ready to hibernate in time when the climate change hits. Not only does it affect their migration patterns, it also affects their food sources. For instance when fish migrate brown bears that prey on them will have one source of food gone. As the temperature heightens, there will be less water and even drought; which leads to plants dying, which finally leads to herbivores starving. Remember, one of our sources of food are animals. Some animals can also lose their homes, like the penguins, the puffins and the polar bears.
